For Pink October 2026, Tandberg Data is launching Back Up What Matters, a European campaign supporting two organisations involved in the fight against breast cancer. From October 9 to 31, contributions will be calculated on all eligible Tandberg Data orders, regardless of the sales channel used — including tandberg-data.com, eParts.fr, orders placed directly with our sales teams and our other sales channels. Contributions will be allocated to Gustave Roussy in France and Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. in Germany according to the rules set out below.
Back Up What Matters
Protecting data, organising backups and maintaining business continuity are at the heart of Tandberg Data’s everyday work. With Back Up What Matters, the brand also wants to support a cause that matters beyond technology.
The campaign’s shared signature is Back Up What Matters — Pink October 2026. The initiative supports two organisations in Europe: Gustave Roussy in France and Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. in Germany.
How the Pink October campaign works
The campaign begins on October 9, 2026, when it goes live, and ends on October 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM, Paris time (Europe/Paris).
During this period, Tandberg Data will donate 2% of the net product value of all eligible Tandberg Data orders, regardless of the sales channel used, including tandberg-data.com, eParts.fr, orders placed directly with our sales teams and our other sales channels.
- the contribution is calculated on the product value excluding VAT;
- VAT and shipping costs are excluded;
- cancellations, refunds and returns are excluded;
- an overall cap of €6,000 applies to the entire campaign, across all countries and beneficiaries.
If the theoretical total of the contributions exceeds this cap, the contributions will be reduced proportionally, so that the overall amount remains limited to €6,000 while preserving the relative allocation between the beneficiaries.
The final amount will be calculated by our accounting team 45 days after the end of the campaign, allowing cancellations, returns and refunds to be fully taken into account.
Two organisations supported in Europe
France — Gustave Roussy
Gustave Roussy is a leading cancer centre combining patient care and research. As part of Pink October, the campaign aims to support cancer research. Contributions corresponding to orders delivered in France will be donated to Gustave Roussy.
Germany — Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.
Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. provides information about breast cancer and supports people affected by the disease. Contributions corresponding to orders delivered in Germany will be donated to the organisation.
The delivery country of each order determines how the contribution is allocated. Contributions from orders delivered in France are allocated to Gustave Roussy, while contributions from orders delivered in Germany are allocated to Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. For orders delivered to all other countries, including Italy, the contribution is shared equally between Gustave Roussy and Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.
Every order contributes
Customers do not need to take any additional action. Every eligible Tandberg Data order placed during the campaign period is included, whether it is placed on tandberg-data.com, through eParts.fr, directly with our sales teams or through our other sales channels.
Tandberg Data funds the contribution, calculates the amounts and arranges the donations in accordance with the campaign terms. Customers are not required to make a separate donation.
A European campaign with a transparent outcome
After the campaign ends and the 45-day period for accounting for cancellations, returns and refunds has elapsed, Tandberg Data will publish the final amount donated and its allocation between the two organisations.
This article will be updated publicly with the final results, allowing the campaign conditions announced at launch to be compared with the final outcome.
